Academic background and areas of specialisation:

I am currently pursuing an MA in Communication, with a research focus on the application of Strategic Integrated Communication (SIC) in promoting STEM through Science Centres. My academic foundation includes a BA Honours in Advanced Corporate Communication and a BA in Communication, both from North-West University.

Since 2023, I have been active in higher education as an Assistant Lecturer, first teaching Communication at North-West University and, since 2025, facilitating Communication in English A at Nelson Mandela University. My expertise lies in aligning organisational missions with societal expectations, particularly within the South African educational landscape.  I am passionate about how strategic discourse can bridge gaps in science and mathematics enrollment.

Digital strategic communication, Digital Science Communication, Digital Rhetorical Analysis of STEM advocacy for women in the global south, Digital Storytelling in non-profit organisations, Multimodal Inclusion.
