E-government strategies and challenges; online learning and teaching practices: Improving service delivery using electronic platforms , addressing issues of digitilisation especially digital divide in learning and teaching spaces , creating access for success and incorporating humanising pedagogical practices to ensure our graduates are marketable and employable

Dr Amina Jakoet-Salie is currently the Acting Head of Departments and a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Public Management and Leadership in the School of Governmental Studies at the Nelson Mandela University. She completed a Bachelor of Social Science and Social Science Honours at the University of Cape Town and furthered her studies and received her Masters (Cum Laude) and a PhD in Public Administration at the Nelson Mandela University. She has published and supervised Postgraduate students in research areas such as local government and service delivery, co-production, trust in government, disaster management and performance management. She has presented papers at interdisciplinary conferences on Digital Humanities and cultivating socially just online learning and teaching practices aligned with the Humanising Pedagogy.
